Questions to Think About… |
If God intended for the wicked to live forever, why did He ban Adam and Eve from the Tree of Life after they had sinned? Gen. 3:22-24
Why does God promise the reward of Eternal Life to the righteous, if everyone, wicked or righteous, already has it?
Why does the Bible talk about the Second Death (Rev. 2:11; Rev. 20:6; Rev. 21:8) for the wicked if the wicked continue to live forever? Death is the opposite of Life!

Jeremiah 17 27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched. |
II Chronicles 36 18 And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon. 19 And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof. 20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia: 21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years. |
