QUESTIONS: (Think first about the Physical)

1. What are the real objects ?

(Women, one man, bread, apparel (garment), seven, eat, wear, adulterous women.)

2. What is going on when a woman is “called” by a man’s name ?

(A marriage or union is made between them.)

3. What is happening between the 7 women and the man ?

(The women take “hold” of the man.)

Hold #2388 – help, make strong, repair

So the women want to help or “repair” something to make the man stronger.

4. What type of women are these 7 ?

(They are adulterous women because they are all marrying the same man!)

5. What is the reason the women want to be “called” by the man’s name ?

(To have their “reproach” taken away.)

6. What is the “reproach” of the women ?

(They have no children, they are barren.)

Gen. 30:23 and Luke 1:24,25

7. What have the women agreed to do ?

(Eat their own bread and wear their own apparel.)

8. Who is the man ?

(The “husband” or head of an adulterous union.

The “man” can’t be Christ Jesus because the LORD has only one Bride. Rev. 19:7,8

9. When does this take place ?

(During the Last Days or time of the Judgement.)

Who does a Pure Woman represent ?

A PURE “WOMAN” REPRESENTS GOD’S CHURCH

Who does an Adulterous Woman represent ?

ADULTEROUS “WOMAN” REPRESENTS A FALSE CHURCH

Who does the one man or head represent ?

ONE “HEAD” OR ONE “MAN” REPRESENTS ONE LEADER

What does bread represent ?

“BREAD” REPRESENTS THE BIBLE

What does it mean to have a child or give birth ?

TO MAKE A “CONVERT” OR

These are SPR adulterous churches who all want to make a SPR union with one SPR man !

5. What is the reason the women want to be “called by the man’s name” or make this “marriage” or union ?

PHY (To have their PHY “reproach” taken away.)

SPR (To have their SPR “reproach” taken away.)

6. What is the “reproach” of the women ?

PHYSICAL

The PHY women are unmarried or “barren” and have no PHY children.

SPIRITUAL

The SPR women (churches) are SPR “barren” and have no SPR children or “converts”.

7. What have the women agreed to do ?

PHYSICAL

The PHY women have agreed to PHY eat their own bread and wear their own apparel.

SPIRITUAL

The SPR women (churches) have agreed to have their own SPR understanding (eat) of the SPR bread (Bible) and to keep their own SPR Garment (Identity or Character). The Churches want to keep their own names.

8. Who is the man ?

PHYSICAL

The PHY “husband” or PHY “head” of an adulterous PHY union.)

SPIRITUAL

The SPR “husband” or SPR “head” of an adulterous SPR union.

The SPR Leader or SPR “Head” of an adulterous

SPR union of False Churches.

NOTE: The “man” can’t be Christ Jesus because the Lord has only one Bride. Rev. 19:7,8

9. When does this “union” take place ?

CONCLUSION

Now, let’s go back to the text and Paraphrase it using the Spiritual meanings of the Real Objects to see what it says.

ISAIAH 4:1

And in that day (last days) seven women (all) (false churches) shall take hold of (help) one man, (one head or leader) saying, We will eat (understand, read) our own bread, (Bible) and wear

our own apparel: (keep our own identity or character) only let us be called by thy name, (make a spiritual union) to take away our reproach (make spiritual converts).

PARAPHRASE:

In the last days all the false churches will help one leader. They will say that they want their own understanding of the Bible and they want to keep their own identity, but they want to form a Spiritual Union so that they can convert people.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY FEATURE

The document, Evangelicals and Catholics Together: The Christian Mission in the Third Millennium is an instrument of reconciliation for evangelical Protestants and Catholic Christians. The document is an amicable attempt to bring all Christian churches, including the Eastern Orthodox Church, into one fellowship by the year 2000. If realized, this may well be the greatest misadventure of Y2K. The document infers that there is one Christ and one mission; hence, there should be one Christian church. This document was signed by dozens of influential Catholic and Protestant leaders.

According to Religion Today, it has been reported that nine Protestant churches have agreed towards steps of unity which will allow them to celebrate communion together, share one baptism and recognize each as authentic expressions of one church in Jesus Christ. These churches, Episcopal, Presbyterian (USA), Disciples of Christ, United Church of Christ, United Methodist, African Methodist Episcopal, African Methodist Episcopal Zion, the Christian Methodist Episcopal and the International Council of Community Churches signed an agreement to unite by 2002.

On June 25, 1998, the world Lutheran Church decided to reconcile with its mother church. Cardinal William Keeler of the Catholic Church said, “This is the most significant development in any dialog we have had with churches that came from the reformation.”

FINAL COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS

1. Is this Spiritual Union of all the False Churches a good thing ?

2. What position does this Union of the False Churches put the True Church in ?

3. If the True Church refuses to join the Union of Churches, what will be the response of the Church Union ? To whom will they appeal ?

Is there a symbolic “picture” of this Large Church Union anywhere else in the Bible ? If so, how does the Bible say it enforces its will ? (Read Revelation 17 : 1-18).
